Eclipse RDF4J™ is a robust, open-source Java framework designed for handling Resource Description Framework (RDF) data. It empowers developers to create, parse, store, query, and reason with RDF and Linked Data, facilitating seamless integration with various RDF database solutions and SPARQL endpoints. This versatility makes it a cornerstone for applications leveraging Semantic Web technologies. The latest RDF4J update introduces enhanced JSON-LD 1.1 support, improving data handling to meet current standards. FedX now boasts better performance and expanded federation capabilities, while SHACL validation is refined with support for sh:closed and pairwise checks, ensuring stronger data integrity. Stability and performance improvements were made to the LMDB storage solution, alongside an upgraded MapDB for optimized database interactions. Additionally, more efficient query handling reduces RAM and heap space requirements by managing intermediary query results effectively.
Software Requirements:- Requires JDK 11+ (Java 17+ recommended), compatible with AdoptOpenJDK, Oracle JDK, etc. Runs on Windows 10+, macOS 10.15+, and Linux (kernel 4.10+). Optionally integrates with Tomcat/Jetty for web server use and supports various database backends (Native RDF4J, LMDB, or external SPARQL databases). Hardware Requirements:- Minimum 2-core CPU, 4 GB RAM, and 500 MB storage (8+ GB RAM and SSD recommended). For larger datasets, quad-core CPU, 16 GB+ RAM, and 10 GB SSD suggested.
